PERFORMANCE

4 FLOORS OF WHORES: SITOPHILIA

SITOPHILIA opens the door to the world of food fetishism and invites the viewer to explore food through desire, pleasure, and sensuality. SITOPHILIA examines why food has historically been associated with seduction, why certain sounds or textures trigger strong reactions in us, and how food can function as a surface onto which emotions and fantasies are projected.

The work is framed by mukbang culture, in which watching people eat has become a global form of entertainment. SITOPHILIA asks what happens when the intense intimacy of mukbang, ASMR sounds, and the physicality of food are brought onto the stage. The piece plays with the exaggerated aesthetics of mukbang, where food becomes both an object and an active agent.

SITOPHILIA is the first audience experiment as part of the upcoming production by 4 FLOORS OF WHORES. This early version serves as a research platform: how food, sound, and eroticism create performative tension on stage.

The artist:

4 FLOORS OF WHORES is a Helsinki-based performance collective blending physical theater, choreography, sound, and performance art. Their work explores strange, perverse, or antisocial ways of being, turning the stage into a space for forbidden desires, deep reflection, and healing.

WORKSHOPS

Each participant may choose two workshops. The duration of each workshop is two hours.

The selection process will be communicated to all participants separately via email.

Gili Jala: Tantra Taster

This workshop offers a direct introduction to a few foundational principles of classical tantra through guided experience.

Working with attention, presence and energetic polarity, we explore the ground from which tantric intimacy can arise. The approach is queer-centred and does not rely on gendered interpretations of polarity & bodies.

The session includes a mix of individual and partner exercises designed to give you a taste of classical tantra practices and experience. No previous experience is needed.

The workshop is in English. No simultaneous translation will be offered.

Gili Jala: Tantric Play

This workshop explores a few foundational principles from classical tantra that can deepen practices of conscious play and kink.

Working with attention, presence and energetic polarity, we look at how these principles can support the creation of play scenes, power exchange and other forms of consensual intensity.

Through guided exercises and demonstrations we experiment with bringing a tantric lens to practices such as impact play, power dynamics and ritualized scenes.

The workshop is in English. No simultaneous translation will be offered.

Facilitator:

Gili Jala (they)

Gili works with Permission, Presence & Play as foundations for human experience, relational intelligence and erotic literacy.

Their work draws from classical tantra, queer theory and centers pleasure and desire as gateways for self-knowing, belonging, and liberation.

Based in Berlin, Gili founded Conscious Play Temple and Conscious Play Fest: inclusive spaces of permission inviting moment to moment exploration of self, one another, and the whole.

Natasha: Kinky Massage

Grounding, gentle, rough, teasing, scratchy, stingy… the touch can be so many things. In this workshop we will explore different ways of consensual touch: from feather-like and whisper massage to pressure points and big body movement.

There will be space to express your wishes and boundaries, get inspired with some bodywork ideas and get creative.

Open to all curious participants, with and without experience in massage.

The workshop is in English.

Natasha: Flower Bondage

Flower bondage is bondage without ropes — instead using flowers. Imagine people holding stems and branches between their fingers, hands, bodies. Nothing should fall. You may find yourself in a creative space, discovering new ways to interact with the body. Or experience yourself as a sculpture, an art object, fully focused on a simple task.

The play can be fun, challenging, meditative, artistic. This is a playground to experiment with flowers in a sensual, kinky way.

The workshop is in English.

Facilitator:

Natasha (they/she) is pleasure activist, massage therapist, workshop facilitator and art director based in Berlin.

Alexander Hahne: Touch of many hands. Little time but many hands

Do you want to be part of a small swarm? To be gently explored with your needs and desires. Being touched by many hands.

Sensual, soft, firm, rough, explorative, or…?

After a short collective warm-up, small swarms will appear. Besides a physical warm up, you have a couple of minutes to sense and think what you want to experience in your not yet formed swarm – what you want to receive as well as happy to give.

Each person is once the center of attention in the swarm.

Alexander Hahne: Naked Resting – How the hell can I go back to my everyday life?!

A final naked cuddle with all these gorgeous humans from the festival. It is a guided naked resting, very slow, focusing on grounding, integration and the harsh truth that the festival will come to an end.

Physical touch is embraced, arousal is welcome but not the focus.

The final 30 minutes of the naked resting will be about chatting about your experiences and how the hell you plan to go back to your everyday life.

Facilitator:

Alexander Hahne (he/him), is a gay trans man, trainer and speaker for trans-specific topics in the field of sexual health. He is a sex educator, somatic counselor, sexuality-focused bodyworker, systemic sex therapist, dancer and pleasure activist.

He is also a leader of workshops and individual counselling on the topics of body awareness, intimacy and sexuality. He has worked in the field of sexuality for about 20 years with almost 15 years of facilitation in pleasure and kink spaces.

With his work he supports everyone in their own experience of the body as well as the possibility of uncovering access to their own pleasurable potential.

Teo Ala-Ruona: Oral Senses

The workshop explores and activates the mouth as a fundamental site of sensing the world and libidinal perception. We will do exercises with the mouth and tongue solo, in pairs, and as a group. We will touch our own mouths and the mouths of others, surrender to sucking, suckling, and being sucked, and listen to the sounds that arise from oral pleasure.

How does the reaching desire of my mouth set my body in motion? What does it feel like to touch another person with my mouth? What kind of contact does my mouth gravitate toward if I give my oral drives the freedom to move me?

The exercises are grounded in Ala-Ruona’s performance art practices, in which he uses the mouth as a site of choreographic and somatic fictioning. The workshop activates the mouth as a sensing and desiring space, where strengthening its instincts can produce pleasure and a sense of surrender, as well as deepen one’s knowledge of the body’s own appetites.

The workshop draws on performance art practices, but you don’t need any prior relationship to performing in order to participate — a simple curiosity to explore the mouth, embodiment, and movement through desire is enough.

Facilitator:

Teo Ala-Ruona (he/him) is a Helsinki-based artist working in the field of performance art at the intersection of choreography and contemporary theatre. In his practice, he seeks corporeal metaphysical transformations, moving at the cutting points of linguistic, somatic, and social existence. On stage, he is drawn to the dynamics of strange and risk-laden presence, audience interaction, and emotional and psychological tension.

He approaches the body in his work as a site of desire’s complexity.

Julius Elo: Playing with the Dead

This workshop explores crossing the boundary between the living and the lifeless. We approach dying, the state of the dead body, and playing with the dead through fantasy, role-play, and embodied exercises. The workshop invites participants to explore power, responsibility and bodily boundaries within a clearly framed, consent-based context. Dying is understood as a process in which agency changes, and the dead body as a state in which the body can be an object, sacred, humiliated, used, or something entirely different – according to the participants own fantasies.

Do you fantasize about absolute power, a body without response, demands, or gaze? Or do you fantasize about the desire to be completely passive, about fully surrendering and simply being a corpse? In this workshop, you can choose either of these roles and create a scene in which your fantasy is realized.

The workshop can be led in both Finnish and English depending on the participants.

Julius Elo: Hot Wax Ritual

Hot wax on the skin can be extremely pleasurable, and it might feel like a little bodily orgasm.

Temperature play is an erotic form of consensual sensation play. In hot wax play we use the elements of heat to heighten the senses and stimulate the body’s neuroreceptors. Hot wax play is an activity where one is dripping candle wax onto your partner, having your partner drip it onto you, or dripping it on yourself, or it might happen in the form of a group.

Workshop includes introduction for wax play, safety, practical tryouts, different techniques, stimulation of the skin, wax play and aftercare.

The workshop is in Finnish.

Facilitator:

Julius Elo (they/them) is a performance artist who creates performance concepts and participatory performances where the audience is set at the core of the piece in different ways.

They are one of the founders of Reality Research Center, Wonderlust festival and Helsinki Shibari Collective. They have worked with BDSM for over 15 years in Helsinki and Berlin.

Yakup Na: Play Fight

Play fight is a form of physical intimacy where connection, resistance, and closeness unfold through shared struggle. In this workshop, we explore what emerges when wrestling carries an erotic undercurrent.

Participants are invited to experiment with approaching, resisting, and giving in. The fight can stay light and playful, or shift into something slower and more animalistic, where gaze, movement, and touch start to carry a different kind of intensity. Some exercises involve elements of primal play and power imbalances.

The workshop is grounded in physical interaction, but you’re free to find your own level of intensity. No prior experience or specific fitness level is needed.

The workshop can be held in Finnish or English depending on the group.

Facilitator:

Yakup Na (they/them) is a performer, host and event creator whose passion is creating spaces for physical connection through play, ritual, and carnivalism.

They approach shared embodiment as an ongoing practice, one that unfolds through interaction and curiosity. Their facilitation invites participants into states where structure and spontaneity coexist, and where meaning can emerge through doing rather than explanation.

Based in Helsinki, Yakup is a founder of Muutarha, Querq and Ooh! Festival and has done workshops and performances for them and for Kosketus and Kinkiest, among other events.
