Remote Jam

Remote Jam is a version of the dj jam in exceptional circumstances. dj jam uses contact improvisation as the base for connection. Remote Jam improvises the connection by the music played by the dj and tuning in and dancing together.

SCORE FOR THE JAM

18.30 – 19 Facilitated tuning in together

19 – 20 Jam

20 – 20.30 Ending Circle

All times are Finnish (EEST).

During the jam we’ll keep the microphones muted so the music sounds best and doesn’t cause feedback.

Remote Jam is danced live through Zoom service (https://zoom.us).

If you have any problems accessing the jam, send us a message at office (at) centerforeverything.com and we’ll sort it out.

NOTES ABOUT ZOOM
If you don’t know Zoom from before, it’s worth getting to know it a bit in advance. You should be able to use Zoom directly from your browser, but it works best when you download it to your device. You can get it both for laptop, pad and phone.

When you prepare your device for the session, please
• Place your device so that you are seen in the camera as well as possible, both when standing upright and when on the floor.
• Place your device so that there’s enough light coming for you. If natural light is not enough, add some artificial light to support it.
• Open your camera when you enter the session.
• If possible, connect your device to speakers better than your device so you will here both the music and the instructions well.

When the microphones are closed, you can always ask questions through the chat. You can also ask privately from the facilitator if needed.

But don’t worry about the tech. In its simplest form, you only need to click the link at the right time and that’s it. These instructions are formulated to help you get the most out of the session without the tech getting in the way.
