Immersive Theatre Workshop (Follow-Up)

The workshop deepens the dive into immersive performances and game performances.

It updates the theory, but focuses heavily on practice. It teaches how to invite the audience to be part of a performance, offers approaches on how to negotiate consent and breaks down some of the most frequently used mechanisms of interaction. A particular focus is put on how to open up multisensory pathways for the audience and on what kind of audience relationships the participants of the workshop want to further in their own artistic work.

The workshop focuses on design and realization of immersive performances and game performances. It’s meant to work as a continuation course for those who have already completed the Immersive Theatre Workshop.

You will learn
– Creating diverse invitations for audiences
– Applying the most common game structures in immersive performances
– Deepening the questions regarding consent and applying related practices
– Deepening multisensory performing
– Utilizing the potentialities of diverse environments to invite audiences into multisensory experiences
